Questions and Answers:
Where are you located?
Emunah
v’Omanut is located in Kiryat HaYovel,
a Jerusalem neighbourhood near Bayit
Vegan. We rent space in the Midreshet
Yeud campus where we have our dormitory,
classrooms, lunchroom and offices. Twice
a week students travel by van to the
Emunah College to use studio space there.
Music students likewise travel to HaSadna
Conservatory for musical instruction.
What is the interaction with
Midreshet yeud?
Emunah v’Omanut
remains an independent program with
its own classes, administration, trips and
programming. We offer the option of 3
hours of joint classes with Midreshet Yeud’s
overseas program during the week and
share a vibrant Bet Midrash. In addition,
EVO students are offered the opportunity to
join classes being taught in Hebrew in the
Israeli track at Midreshet Yeud.
How do I apply?
We are members of
the online joint application initiative and
therefore you can log onto
www.applytosem.org and follow the
application process there. For additional
application information including the
music/art component, see instructions at
our website's admissions page.
What classes are included in the
music program?
Students build an
individualized program utilizing the
facilities and outstanding music instructors
at Jerusalem’s highly regarded musical
conservatory – HaSadna.
A typical program includes: 1. Oboe
lesson 2. Private voice instruction 3. Jazz
Ensemble work 4. Piano lesson 5. Choir
work.
Can I participate in both the art and
music track?
We encourage our students
to focus in a single area in order to
achieve mastery. However, students can
enhance their program by incorporating
drama, music and art elements in a multidisciplinary
program.
