Emunah V'Omanut

At Emunah V’Omanut, teachers are chosen because they are experts in their fields and share a sensitivity to Torah values and creative expression. Whether in a guest lecture, studio visit or in an on-going course, these are just some of the people from whom you will enjoy learning.

Amos Safrai, Dean of Emunah College, is a Doctoral candidate at Bar Ilan university and a Graduate of Yeshivat Har Etzion. He served for many years as the Head of the Department for Shlichut to the Diaspora of the Jewish Agency and maintains connections with various schools and educational institutions throughout the world.

Rabbi David Debow, Director of Overseas Program, infuses his classes with relevance and creativity. He served as teacher, Mashgiach Ruchani and Principal of Fuchs Mizrachi high school in Cleveland. Since making Aliya three years ago, he has taught in Midreshet HaRovah, Midreshet Lindenbaum, Michlelet Orot. Graduate of Yeshivat Har Etzion and graduate of Yeshiva University and Ursuline College.

Mrs. Yael Shimoni
combines intense Torah and art training. She continues to attend Rabbi Aaron Lichtenstein’s shiurim at Migdal Oz where she studied while completing her art degree at Betzalel Institute at Hebrew University.

Rabbi Uri Cohen. Machshava. Semicha from Yeshivat Hamivtar and Yeshiva University, where he also completed MA in Medieval Jewish History and Education. Shaliach in Syracuse and Princeton University. Looks things up for fun.
Rabbi Alex Israel
is a beloved teacher at Midreshet Lindenbaum, Michlelet Orot and Yeshivat Eretz HaTzvi. He has toured England and America on guest lectures. He has a BSc. from London School of Economics and Semicha from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.

Rabbi Ephraim Levitz, MA in Education from Layola University LA, Semicha from Chief Rabbinate of Israel, Cognitive coach of Jewish educators. A highly creative educator that has produced musical CD of his original songs, puppeteer and dramatic story teller.
Shulamis Moskowitz, Machshava -  currently pursuing Master's in psychology while creating and running several kiruv organizations in Hebrew University.
Mrs. Chana Tannenbaum  B.A., Stern College, M.A.,  Jewish History, Bernard Revel Graduate School,. Doctoral Canidate, David J. Azrieli School of Education, Founding Dean and Director Shaalvim for Women, Lecturer, Stern College and Bar Ilan University, Lecturer at a variety of institutions and public forums.
Mrs. Shani Taragin,
completed a B.A. and M.A. in Tanach and Talmud at Bar-Ilan University. She teaches in various institutions including Midreshet Moriah, Midreshet Lindenbaum, MaTaN and Nishmat. Shani is a graduate of Nishmat’s Keren Ariel Program for certification as a halachic advisor in issues of family purity law. She lectures internationally and serves on the first women’s hotline to deal with issues of Jewish law.
Art Instructors

Heddy Breuer Abramowitz, Painting, International Fellow at the prestigious Vermont Studio Center, has exhibited widely in Israel and abroad.

Mr. Yehoshua Halevi, MA University of California at Berkeley. Photojournalist and event, commericial and fine art photographer. His photographs have been featured in National Geographic publications.

Mrs. Leah Raab. Drawing, Painting. BFA Betzalel. Numerous exhibitions throughout Israel and America.

Feige Reuven, Ceramics, Emunah College of Art, Art department.

Mr. Eli Schvadron. Printing. BFA Betzalel, popular teacher of printing in many art schools across Israel.

Support Staff

Mrs. Sema K. Reich, Dean of Students, Teacher of Machshava. M.S., Educational Administration, Ferkauf Graduate School of Yeshiva University. Involved in Jewish Education with young adults for over 25 years in a variety of administrative and teaching roles.

Hila Yacobi, Administrative Assistant. Graduate of Emunah College in the Department of Art.

Sarah Rosengarten, Madricha Studied at Midreshet Harova for a year and a half.  Graduated from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in Art and Music.

Chana Hertzberger, Madricha, Studied at Midreshet Harova for a year and a half. Currently pursuing her B Ed in Graphic Design at Emunah College. Led Bnei Akiva’s Machach B’aretz tours and was a counselor at Camp Moshava.
