Courses will be offered at a range of
levels so that students at a variety
of beginning points will all advance
their skills. Our educational approach
combines an appreciation for
contemporary artistic themes with eternal
Jewish values. We seek to integrate
elements of theory directly into the
practical experience of the studio.
ART CLASSES
Drawing
From the elements of
perspective and shading to detailed
portraiture, you will find expert guidance
meeting you at your level and helping
you to grow. Learn to see as an artist so
that you can capture and express the
mood and tone of your subjects.
Painting
In extensive studio work you
will develop skills in a host of media
and methods. You will be exposed to a
variety of styles and artists spanning the
spectrum from realism to abstract art.
You will learn color theory and a variety
of methods including texturing, layering
and brushwork.
Sculpting
While exploring through
creating, you will deepen your
understanding of the elements that make
for great sculpture: points of tension,
static and dynamic forms, space and
substance, balance and discord. You
will learn the possibilities and limits of
different materials through working with
them.

Emunah College also
provides classes and resources in
a number of other areas including
photography, printing, drama and set
design.
Studio Visits
Israel is home to a
vibrant community of religious artists.
These artists will share with you their
sources of inspiration and technical craft
in a series of studio visits. While art forms
other than fine arts and graphic arts may
not find full expression in our course
offerings, you will explore a variety of
venues for creative expression including
creative writing, music, drama and dance.
